the GOP-UNDP Fostering Democratic Governance Programme in
the production and publication of this volume.

Training-Workshop on Documenting Good Practices
for Effective Local Governance: A Trainer’s Manual:
A training manual on the “how to’s” of
documentation to facilitate or even accelerate the identification
and dissemination of good/exemplary practices in local governance.
This Manual is intended for use by a trainer who is well-versed
in the adult learning approach and possesses the facilitating
skills to conduct structured learning exercises. This Manual
consists of two parts:
1.
Module/Session Guides from Day 0 to Day 4 and the corresponding
handouts for each module design
2. Readings from which trainers
can derive more substantial inputs
for the training

Voices in Governance: A 10-part documentary series
on citizenship education featuring the experiences of the
Galing Pook program awardees from Bulacan Province, Bohol
Province, Naga City, and Malalag (Davao del Sur). The documentaries

Bantay
Banay: Women’s Voice in Governance: A video
documentary highlighting the mainstreaming of gender and
development in local government. It features Cebu City’s
Bantay Banay (or Family Watch), the 2003 Special Citation
Awardee for Gender Responsive Local Governance.
This video has been developed with support of the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA) and the National
Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW).
