Galing Pook Awards 2008: Call for Applications EXTENDED until July 15, 2008!
Galing Pook Foundation calls upon interested local government units (provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays) to submit your application for the Galing Pook Awards 2008. Partners, non-government organizations, private organizations, or individuals are also called upon to encourage LGUs with innovative practices to submit their applications. Application forms may be downloaded here.
The deadline for submission of applications is extended until July 15, 2008.
Galing Pook holds General Assembly Meeting and Policy Forum
The Galing Pook Foundation held its General Assembly back to back with a Policy Forum last Saturday, 7 June 2008, at the Hampton Function Room in Astoria Plaza, Pasig City. Galing Pook is pleased to have Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. and Gen. Jose Almonte as guests. Sen. Pimentel delivered his presentation on his proposal for a shift to a Federal System of Government while retaining the Presidential System. Gen. Almonte delivered his speech on Building an Archipelago of Good Governance.

Local governance partners from the national government agencies, private/business sector, academe, non-government organizations, and donor agencies are also welcome to nominate the efforts of their supported LGUs.
Sections of this website are also devoted to the foundation’s work in the replication of its awarded best practices through collaborative partnerships and its various knowledge products.
